Luzki, Joseph Solomon ben Moses
(d. 1844)
   Crimean Karaite scholar. He was born in Kukizow, near Lemberg, and lived at Lutsk, Volhynia. In 1802 he moved to Yevpatoriya in the Crimea, where he became rabbi of the Karaites. He went with Simhah Babovich to St Petersburg to obtain exemption for the Karaites from military service. In 1831 he settled in Palestine, but he later returned to Yevpatoriya. He wrote religious poems, studies of Hebrew grammar and Bible commentary.
